Teaching Excellence Awards Nominations Opened

The trail for excellence in teaching is now open as the Teaching Excellence Award (TEA) nominations officially opened last June 15, 2021 . Spearheaded by the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning, TEA aims to give significant merit to faculty in the USTP system who have shown highly distinctive pedagogical practices. 

As TEA nominations open, faculty members, department chairs/heads, deans, and even the colleges from across the USTP System may now nominate educators whom they believe have displayed and have practiced innovative and excellent teaching practices during their teaching. 

TEA has four categories namely: Presidents Awards for Holistic Excellence in Innovative Instruction, Innovation and Excellence in Laboratory Instruction, Excellence in Experiential and Industry-Based Instruction, and Students’ Recognition of Excellence Teaching. Nominations are open up until August 31, 2021. 

TEA is part of the PRAISE Awards and winners will be awarded in December 2021.
