USTP Visits Magsaysay College : Collaboration on the Way

USTP Delegates, headed by Dr. Amphie Dinagsao, Director of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CiTL); Dr. Ismael Talili, Director of Research, USTP Cagayan de Oro; Dr. Greg Cubio, Director of Research and Innovation Centers; Dr. Maria Teresa Fajardo, Director for Extension and Community Relations, USTP CDO, and Architect Mikhail Vince Janubas of the Infrastructure Planning and Facilities Development Office (IPFDO), visited the municipality of Magsaysay and Magsaysay College last November 21, 2020 to discuss future collaborations.

Dr. Amparo Dinagsao, Director of the Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CiTL); Dr. Ismael Talili, Director of Research, USTP Cagayan de Oro; Dr. Greg Cubio, Director of Research and Innovation Centers; Dr. Maria Teresa, Fajardo, Director for Extension and Community Relations, USTP CDO; and Architect Mikhail Vince Janubas of the Infrastructure Planning and Facilities Development Office (IPFDO).

Discussions focused on different areas where USTP can assist the 3-year old local Higher Educational Institution - Magsaysay College. Specifically, areas of discussion included research, extension, curriculum and student services.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Magsaysay and the Board of Trustees of Magsaysay College hosted the event. Present during the discussion were Mayor Rey Buhisan, Vice Mayor Charlie Buhisan and officials from Magsaysay College.

This collaboration is part of USTP’s efforts to assist other HEIs. While the meeting was deliberate, the visit was also an excellent short breather where our delegates were able to witness the beautiful place and people who wished to leave a great legacy to the next generations.
